The Moscow Trade Union of the Russian Academy of Sciences won the Science and Technology Cup 2025 (IX season)

On Sunday, November 30, the third tournament of the IX season of the International Online Chess Business League was held on the Lichess online platform. The Science and Technology Cup brought together 62 teams from IT, telecom, science, education, and high-tech manufacturing companies from Russia and Belarus at the virtual chessboard. In the end, with a score of 26.5 points (out of a possible 33), the Moscow Union of the Russian Academy of Sciences team (Moscow, consisting of Ivan Galyaev, Vsesvolod Lyakhovetsky, and Andrey Galyaev) celebrated victory. The silver medalists from the Rostelecom team (Moscow, consisting of Alexander Mityushev, Tatyana Fatyanova, and Alexey Demyanenko) were one point behind the winners. The third place was taken by the chess players from the IT company Rubius (Tomsk, consisting of Egor Pakhomov, Sergey Zapolsky, and Sergey Koshevoi) with a score of 23.5 points.
