Belarusian students are the strongest at the 2024 University Cup

On April 28 on the online platform Lichess.org The III International Online Chess Tournament among students - University Cup - 2024 took place. 67 teams of universities, academies and institutes from Russia and Belarus took part in the tournament. As a result, the victory was won by the team of the Belarusian National Technical University (Belarus, Minsk, consisting of: Maxim Tsaruk, Alexandra Tarasenko, Alexey Kuzmitsky) with a score of 25.5 points out of 33 possible. Three teams shared the second place with a score of 24 points at once, but according to additional indicators, the chess players of the Don State Technical University (Rostov-on-Don, consisting of: Maxim Borisov, Maxim Chipiga, Hayk Hayrapetyan), and another Rostov team - Southern Federal University (consisting of: Nikolai Pavlov, Maxim Alpin, Alexander Egorov). Well, the fourth place in this division was taken by the team of Perm State National Research University (Perm)

The next, 4th International Online Chess Tournament, the University Cup, will be held approximately in November-December this year
