The victory of the Gazprom Administration Trade Union team ended the VII International CHESS TEK Cup - 2024

On Saturday, October 19, the VII International Online Chess Tournament among fuel and energy enterprises - CHESS TEK - 2024 took place. 74 teams from companies and organizations from Russia, Serbia and Belarus took part in the competition. According to the results of the tournament, the Gazprom Administration Trade Union team (St. Petersburg, consisting of Alexander Vorobyov, Evgeny Petrusenko, Alexey Piskun) won with a score of 27 points out of 33 possible. Next came the chess players from NIS Serbia (Serbia, Novi Sad, as part of: Predrag Basta, Svetozar Tsekov, Radosav Djukic) - 25 points. The bronze medalist, with a score of 24 points, was the Network Company team (Kazan, consisting of: Niyaz Vafin, Mikhail Tsaregorodtsev, Albert Shaimardanov). In addition to the winning teams, 9 more teams won a ticket to the final tournament of the VII season: Rosseti Tyumen (Surgut), Gazprom Transgaz Tchaikovsky (Tchaikovsky), Gazprom Transgaz Belarus (Belarus, Minsk), SamaraNIPIneft (Samara), Rosseti Yug - Volgogradenergo (Volgograd), Slavneft - Krasnoyarsk Oil and Gas (Krasnoyarsk), Gazprom Transgaz Kazan (Kazan), Bashneft-Dobycha (Ufa), Sakhalinenergo (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk). Thus, these teams will make up the company of 11 finalists who won a ticket to the main tournament of the season a week earlier in the Big Business Cup. The final, we recall, will be held on December 14.
