The first season of the Corporate Chess League ended with tournaments in Moscow and St. Petersburg

On July 29 and 30, within the framework of the first season of the Corporate Chess League, tournaments were held - the Federation Cup and the Cup of the Northern Capital.

In Moscow, the Cup was held in two chess "weight categories". In the formats of personal-team Swiss women, blitz 5 + 3 (5 minutes per game plus 3 seconds for each move). First, in tournament B, the strongest team with an average maximum FSHR rating of no more than 1500 points was found out. And it turned out to be the most numerous tournament of the season, in which 15 teams of enterprises from Moscow, Khimki, Saratov, Voronezh and Kazan took part. And it is the team from Tatarstan - Gazprom Transgaz Kazan (consisting of: Vasily Vasiliev, Ildus Dautov, Ruslan Narullin) finished first, with a score of 22.5 points out of 33 possible. Guests from the banks of the Volga also lagged one point behind Kazan, but from Saratov - Saratov Refinery (Stanislav Shlegin, Vladimir Glukhov, Stanislav Popkov). And the first team of Moscow Gazprombank (Alexander Zhuchkov, Ivan Kuznetsov, Odon Shaimpolov) closed the top three winners, which lagged behind the oilmen by only half a point. The decisive contribution to the prizes of their teams was made by their leaders, who similarly positioned themselves in the personal standings: the first Vasily Vasiliev (Gazprom Transgaz Kazan) - 10 out of 11, the second - Stanislav Shlegin (Saratov Refinery) - 9.5 out of 11 and the third - Alexander Zhuchkov (Gazprombank) - 8.5 out of 11.

The tournament layouts turned out to be more complicated and confusing in the strongest and main tournament of the Federation Cup. In the individual competition, Alexander Semenychev (Russian Space Systems) and Ruslan Alkaev (VK-1) brilliantly passed the entire distance. Both scored 8 points out of 9 possible, but according to the Buchholz coefficient, Alexander turned out to be higher, who, by the way, was the seventh chess player in the starting rating list of the tournament. The third was Georgi Tenikashvili (DonStroy) with a score of 7 points out of 9 possible. Geogria's team just performed the most smoothly, which eventually brought DonStroy (consisting of Lev Vranazov, Georgy Tenikashvili, Rushan Bogaudinov) the final first place. The team of one of the largest Russian developers scored 18.5 points out of 27 possible. The second to finish were the chess players of the first VK team (Ruslan Alkaev, Maxim Grigoryan, Mikhail Alekseev) - 17.5 points. And literally in the last round, the third place was snatched by the VNIIA team. Dukhova (Oleg Nikolenko, Vadim Karlinsky, Andrey Khnykin) - 14 points.

A day later, the strongest was found out by the teams of enterprises in St. Petersburg. The Cup of the Northern Capital was already held in a team format and with a time control of 10 + 5 (10 minutes per game plus 5 seconds for each move). The intrigue in the tournament was serious. From the very start, the rating favorites of the tournament from the Gazprom administration of the trade Union (Pavel Lobachev, Alexander Vorobyov, Maria Komyagina) confidently beat out the leaders, but in the fourth round they were tripped up by the KINEFa chess players (Sergey Semenenko, Vitaly Yakovlev, Vitaly Kharchekno), who, thanks to the victory in a personal meeting, broke into the leaders and it seemed that it was petrochemicals now have to take "gold". But in the penultimate round, the GSP-2 team (Pavel Politov, Alexander Maletsky, Hanif Israfilov), which had previously been in the shadow of the leaders, thanks to a 2-1 victory over KINEF, came out ahead and did not concede the championship in the last round. As a result, the second place was taken by the chess players of KINEF, and the three winners closed, losing to the team from Kirishi, only by the 4th (!) additional indicator (Buchholz coefficient) was the team from Sosnovy Bor - Alexandrov THREAD (Anton Amosov, Artur Balyan, Narek Nersesyan).
